• Recording the sound via a microphone
• Sound amplification in the system
• Delivery of the amplified sound via a loudspeaker into the auditory system

To achieve the described sound amplification, suitable batteries are inserted into the hearing system. Today, standard button cell batteries are increasingly being replaced by rechargeable batteries.
